Unlink a Phone Number

Unlinking disconnects your assistant from a phone number. Calls to that number will no longer be handled.
  1. Go to Phone Numbers in the sidebar
  2. Find the linked phone number
  3. Click the Unlink action button

  1. Confirm the action
  2. The number is now available for reassignment
  • The routing endpoint is deactivated
  • The phone number’s assistant assignment is cleared
  • The number becomes available for linking to a different assistant or squad
  • Incoming calls to that number will no longer be answered
Unlinking is immediate. Any active calls will continue, but new calls won’t be routed.
  • Switching to a different assistant
  • Temporarily disabling a number
  • Reassigning to a squad instead of a single assistant
  • Troubleshooting call routing issues
